Kenya.

Abstract

The Low Vision Project was started in 1994 and is based at Kikuyu Hospital, 20 km north of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya.

The Project is sponsored by Christoffel Blindenmission (CBM) Germany and provides Low Vision services to children with visual impairments in East Africa.

In order to support these children adequately, teachers were trained in low vision work.

To enable these teachers to assess and train their students according to their needs, the Low Vision Project developed a low vision kit, which will be subject of the presentation.
